Trig functions aren't difficult to integrate, as long as you know the integration formula for each of the six circular trig functions. But once you know, for example, that the integral of cosine is sine, integrating cosine is obviously pretty simple.
The tricky part is when you're trying to integrate something a little more complicated, where the function just happens to include a trig function. You'll very often have to use u-substitution, integration by parts, or even trigonometric substitution, in order to find the integral of a trig function. And, at the very least, you always have to remember to apply chain rule whenever you take the integral of a trig function.
