Solving Quadratic Equations Using Factorisation
In this tutorial, we work through five quadratic equation problems. I'll show you some basic techniques to solve (relatively) simple equations.
All equations shown are in the Standard Form: ax² + bx + c = 0. You can (fairly) simply rearrange equations to get to this form.
PROBLEMS
1:11 x² + 8x + 15 = 0
5:10 x² + 4x - 21 = 0
6:35 2x² + 9x + 9 = 0
13:00 3x² + 13x - 10 = 0
17:10 6x² + 17x + 7 = 0
