In this video, we show how to programmatically trigger a Chat AI Agent using Node JS with Plivo. You’ll build a returns and exchanges agent that can handle common post-purchase requests for an e-commerce business directly inside chat.

We start by creating an HTTP-triggered Chat AI Agent in Plivo’s Vibe Agent Builder and defining how it should guide customers through return policies, manage exchange requests, and process refunds by referring to attached policy documents. Then we walk through the API Request trigger, where Plivo generates the endpoint, authentication credentials, and payload schema your backend will use.

You’ll see how to generate a ready-made Node JS snippet, test it locally, and trigger the agent whenever a user initiates a return or exchange. By the end of the video, your Node JS application will be able to activate a Chat AI Agent on demand and handle product returns and exchanges automatically, without manual support.
