Omni, SQL, and Python widgets - OpenBB Workspace tutorials for developers
Some workflows don't fit a fixed widget. The Omni, SQL, and Python widgets are built for exactly that, giving analysts a dynamic input area where the output format, the query, and even the business logic can change at runtime without touching the backend.
These three widget types open up a different category of use cases, from custom agent interfaces to ad hoc SQL queries against live data to interactive Python charts analysts can modify directly in the Workspace.
What's covered:
The Omni widget, a dynamic widget where the output type (table, chart, markdown) is selectable at runtime and driven by a prompt input
Toggling the editor off to hide the prompt and expose a cleaner interface for recurring workflows
The SQL widget, structuring a text area input with language and running queries against a database with live results
