When you get yourself into functional programming, not only you change coding habits but also the way you think about the problems. The generic process looks like this: you break the problem into tiny problems, create solutions for them, abstract away certain things and then compose those back together into a final solution. If you think about it, it’s like a never-ending dance between abstraction and composition, it’s really beautiful thing.

In this video, we explore very practical function from Ramda.JS - applySpec. It allows us to define transformations in terms of a clear schema. While using it we tap into the concepts mentioned above, abstraction (applySpec) and composition (specific schema functions).
