Ruby on Rails new Application Tutorial Set 1 with Database. Your First Rails App.

Here is the steps:

On a machine with a working Rails installation:
1.
Open up a terminal window, and at the command prompt ($) type:
$ rails new my_app
2.
Change to the application directory (RAILS.root):
$ cd my_app
3.
Start the web server:
$ rails server
4.
Open a browser window and navigate to:
http://localhost:3000
