It is used to make a column and table name more readable and if there is more than one table, queries are lengthy and complexity is high then users prefer modified & temporary short names of that column or table by using a keyword As.
An example in the video explains that if you need data coming from the multiple tables and you want to add particular columns with respect to particular tables then you have to give an alias because if decreases the complexity of the query.
