Tired of writing text based adventure games? Wish your school taught you more than running programs through the command line? Fear not, for this is an introduction to creating basic user interfaces (UI) using Java Swing. In this workshop, we will learn the basics of Java Swing’s JFrame, JPanel and more. We will also learn how to make an interactive user interface with JButton’s and action listeners. We will end with creating a simple UI that uses buttons to change text displayed on the frame.
