The Functional Options Pattern uses closures to configure a struct or functionality in a very elegant way. It is especially usefull if you would have to create a constructor function that has a lot of mandatory parameters. Instead, with this pattern, you only have to provide the options you want to configure. Also, the API can be used very intuitive way.
