This video is a tutorial on the basics of software animation for any programming language. Although the example is based on JavaScript, the same approach can be applied to any platform: C# and .NET, Java, Python, C++, etc.

The example discusses frame rate, animation duration, and timing functions. Typical motion algorithms are explored: linear, with acceleration, with deceleration/braking, and oscillatory jumps.

The end result is a universal function that can trigger animation of any object with a time delay, using any motion algorithm.
