Story behind this:
My laptop got broken and the only way I managed to rescue it is by installing Linux on the external hard drive. This is due to either the cable connecting the main motherboard to the small board that controls the storage I/O (SATA and CDROM) got broken thus, no reading from the internal HDD, or the small board itself got broken. So I got to brainstorm a workaround to make this laptop at least functional again. Been through a lot of stressful circumstances in the making of this. Sure, I can replace the broken components but I am broke ass student.
