How to get started using Python's IDLE editor to write programs in the Python language.
This movie is meant for absolute beginners and does NOT include a discussion of the range of features provided with IDLE.
In this demonstration, Python 3 is used, but the same instructions can be used for Python 2 (including the example program). The demonstration is done on a Linux Ubuntu 10.04 laptop, but the IDLE editor runs in exactly the same way on Windows and Mac machines.
