Download Open BroadCaster Software https://obsproject.com/index
OBS Studio or OBS Multiplatform are newer & better than OBS Classic

On windows: make sure you run the 64-bit version (It installs both but defaults to 32-bit)

-You can switch between scenes while recording
-Add transitions when switching
➙Scene Collections: can separate various scenes with sources & can even switch between collections while recording

➨Sources
-You'll see a black screen until you add a source
-You can add a "Display Capture" for an entire monitor

-Order, rename & delete sources
-Drag to resize or crop & position

➨Audio
-Plug in your microphone & the green bar should display a live preview
-If no audio shows up, check the properties & make sure the correct microphone is selected
