Microsoft just introduced the Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance Report and it signals a real shift in how we measure visibility.
Instead of rankings and clicks, Bing now shows how often your content is cited inside AI-generated answers. This is the first time a major search platform is giving publishers a native GEO-style reporting layer.
Key things to understand:
• Citations ≠ clicks — influence can happen even when nobody visits your site
• New metrics like Total Citations and Average Cited Pages show how often AI systems reuse your content
• You still don’t see the actual prompts, only the “fan-out” queries behind them
• The report currently reflects Bing Copilot experiences only, not ChatGPT or other LLMs
In the video I walk through the dashboard, explain what the data really means, and how teams can combine it with tools like Adobe LLM Optimizer to reverse-engineer opportunities.
Watch the full breakdown in the video and see what this means for GEO and AI visibility.
