Want to write leaner, more efficient code? The ternary operator is one easy way to do that. This video will look at ternary operator vs if else statement. Conditional code blocks using the if else statement are useful when dealing with multiple conditions. However, when writing a single condition, the best option is to use the ternary operator (also known as conditional operator).

In this video we look at ternary operator ruby and ternary operator javascript to show similarities and examine the ternary vs if else in both programming languages. As you will see, the ternary operator can be used in multiple languages such as Python, Ruby and Javascript. Learning how to use it will be useful when coding in most major programming languages.
