Basic Tips for Securing SSH on a Linux Server
In this video I set SSH to runlevel 3, then configure the service to disallow logins by the root account. Then I change the configuration so that it only accepts recognized hosts which requires all hosts to be added to the hosts file and also displays a banner message of the day to every user that attempts to login.
