BBC Microbit & Binary Bots Spider Bot
I have a V1 Microbit that I pre-ordered when they were first released and have used it in a variety of little projects. This project uses a Microbit to help control a Spider bot from Binary Bots. It comes as a kit with 220+ pieces and you assemble this yourself. The bot comes with a sensor board and a motorised web reel. This one was purchased from "The Works" on sale at £20 but normally costs up to around £40.
The instructions have typos and duplicate pages and the kit was initially missing parts but we did eventually manage to get it working. I also found Binary Bots website to be lacking in code examples.
When assembled the bot is able to climb its own web when you push button A on the Microbit. I worked out by tweaking the code how to make the bot also go back down its web.
