Boat Navigation Using Chart Plotters
Paul Glatzel from Powerboat Training UK at our Cobb's Quay Marina talks us through the multi-function capabilities of a chart plotter to navigate between two points. Paul uses an example of a typical passage from the entrance of Poole Harbour out to the Solent to give plenty of great hints and tips.
Aside from chart plotters, there are also navigation apps available for smartphones and tablets, such as savvy navvy, which Paul also discusses.
