In this video Prof. Patterson walks through the creation of a Fraction class in python that uses the special methods to do symbolic math. This include _eq__, __add__, __sub__, __mul__, __truediv_ etc. The example is drawn from the textbook Python for Everyone by Horstmann and Necaise.

This example uses test-driven development in order to provide a target that we are coding toward.

This demo uses the spyder IDE from the Anaconda Navigator environment management system.
