SIMV
ICU ventilator settings were something I used to struggle with. Even keeping the names straight was tough for me sometimes, but I think I finally straightened them out! In this video we take a quick look at synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation, more commonly known as SIMV. We take a look at what this vent setting actually does for the patient, what we dial in and what we get out.
