React Native Maps Tutorial
Learn how to use react native maps by mapping bushfires in Australia.
The video will cover using React Native and the package react-native-maps which is a great package to display maps on mobile applications like iOS and Android. We will take a look at installing react native maps as well as setting it up with some examples.
If you want to add maps to your mobile applications on react native, this package is a great resource. You can add markers, circles and regions, as well as have live updates from API endpoints.
Australia is currently suffering quite a lot with bushfires, so in this example, we will pull information in from an API that shows current bushfire like situations and map them out on our react native application.
The package uses Google Maps React Native iOS and Android too. To show the maps integration but you can also use Apple maps if you are on iOS. Hopefully, this react native maps tutorial will help you better setup react native google maps in your future projects :)
