Search Function is used to Search the Data in the Gallery based on the one / more Columns
It is used to Search the Data on the "Text Data Type" Columns only
It is not Possible to Search the Data on the Complex Data Types Columns Like (Number , Date , Choice ,,,,,,,)
Delegation Limitations
---------------
Search Function is not Delegable with Share point. (Limitations)
So the Search Function can search only the top 500 Records from the Data source
If the Query is not delegable then Power Apps can Load 500 Records only and it is not possible to work with Large Datasets
We can Increase the Limit to 2000 Records in the Settings.
But it is not Recommended to Increase the Limit to 2000 Records
Filter Function

Filter Function is used to Evaluates an Expression by passing some Filter Conditions
Filter Function is used to "Search" the Data in the Gallery and also used to "Filter" the Data in the Gallery.
Filter Function is Delegable in Power Apps for Sharepoint
