Parallel Compression with Scheps Parallel Particles by Waves
One of the best ways to create powerful mixes is by using parallel compression. Parallel compression is essentially creating an aux track that is heavily compressed and blending it with the raw signal. This allows for the dynamics and focus from the raw audio to stay unaffected, while getting the benefit of blending heavy compression to bring saturation and stronger transience.
In this video I show you how to set up an aux track and create parallel compression the traditional way. This is fairly simple to set up but to get the best tones it can be very specific and tough to dial in just right.
I also show you how to use Scheps Parallel Particles to achieve the same parallel compression but in a simple and more powerful way. Putting the plugin on a drum buss, single track or even the stereo bus, will all result in a punchier, more full sound that will improve your mixes instantly.
