In this video I'll answer, "What is JavaScript?" and "How do I learn JavaScript?" Let's start at the beginning: JavaScript is the behavior of your website. It’s important to understand that JavaScript is one of the three front end languages: HTML is the structure of a website, CSS is the style, and JavaScript is the behavior.

When you’re getting started, you might be like, "Should I start with JavaScript? Or should I start with a JavaScript framework?” That's the never ending debate. Here at One Month, we like to think to do a little bit of both. Jumping into the framework is going to be really nice because they'll give you a nice overview and you'll feel really good rewards of like, this stuffs working. But doing the JavaScript itself will make you feel like, “Okay, cool, I’m learning the fundamentals and it feels powerful.” There’s really no right or wrong.
