CSS and JavaScript animation performance differences

This is a demonstration of some interesting performance differences I found between CSS and JavaScript animations. I used Chrome DevTools to demonstrate the quantifiable advantages of using CSS over JavaScript. It seems that CSS is much more efficient with memory and CPU usage.

This isn't to say that JavaScript animations are fundamentally worse than CSS, but this video shows that there are performance gains to be had with pure CSS-based animations.
