In this video, I build a simple GPS route mapping application using Angular 4. We'll use the Angular CLI to scaffold the project and then create custom Components and Services to build an application with a list of runs with calculated totals, and a detail view with a customized map containing a route loaded from GPX data .

We'll use GPX File Format to plot routes - an XML schema for GPS data. If you need sample GPX data, you can find some here: http://www.wandermap.net/en/
Note that I'm using bash commands on the command line - for this, you'll need a terminal emulator like Bash on Ubuntu on Windows, Git for Windows, or Cmder.

Store and retrieve data from a back-end database service
Create functions to parse GPX data to calculate distance, elevation gain, etc.
