Validate (Check) Form Values & Apply Styles via JavaScript | Learn JavaScript
This Vanilla JavaScript tutorial is about DOM manipulation and achieving two things:
1- On form submission, If nothing is submitted, show error message and highlight div
2- If color and background color values are submitted, Get those values, change color and background color for div along with text
For HTML I have got two form fields with class a and b. We have got a button. We have got a div with class 'result' containing some text For our JavaScript code, we have attached click event listener to button. When button will be clicked, it will fire up function named as 'result'.
In that function, first of all we will get the values from form fields. If values are empty, we will show warning message. Message text will change and div colors will change. If values are submitted, we will apply those colors to div and change text in div.
