Netsuite 1. The API allows you to set and retrieve field values.
2. The API captures relevant data such as user ID, role, timestamp, and context for later use.
3. The context and record ID are used to uniquely identify a record snapshot.
4. The beforeload and before submit functions are used respectively to execute before and after a record is saved.
5. The script context, context, script or context (does not matter) parameter is used to access information from the record snapshot.
6. In case of a create, a record is being set for the first time, the phone number field value is defaulted.
7. The beforeload function sets a field value and captures relevant data.
8. In case of a edit, the old and new record snapshots are captured.
9. The before submit function sets a field value and validates category field available when creating a customer.
10. The beforeload and before submit functions are executed to capture relevant data and validate field availability as needed.
