CloudStack 4.21 - CloudStack XaaS Extensions Framework Explained
In this video, we explore one of the most powerful new features in Apache CloudStack 4.21 — the Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS) Extension Framework. This framework allows administrators to extend CloudStack by integrating external orchestration and provisioning systems, enabling proper multi-hypervisor support.
In the demonstration on how the new Orchestrator extension type works, using the built-in Proxmox Orchestrator as an example, you'll learn how to configure external hypervisors, register templates, and provision instances through CloudStack using an external platform.
By the end of the video, you’ll have a working understanding of how to integrate Proxmox VE with CloudStack using the new extension framework and how to provision VMs end-to-end — all through the CloudStack UI.
