Join special guest Paul Gerrard and Simon Knight for part two of a series discussing the implications of Continuous Testing for testers and teams.

In Part 1 of this series https://blog.gurock.com/continuous-te... , Paul proposed that testing isn’t a stage anymore, it’s a pervasive activity throughout the ‘infinite loop’. The New Model for testing gives a different perspective to what is being called ‘Continuous Testing’ and Paul suggests that the goal of continuous testing is continuous understanding: of requirements and delivered systems.

The second webinar looks more closely at how the automation of testing can be trusted to assure delivery and how the use of production analytics influence requirements for the next iteration.

If testing really is continuous, it extends into production and that monitoring and analytics is part of the overall understanding of systems. The right hand side of the New Model identifies the critical thought processes relevant to ‘closing the loop’ of understanding.

Paul has conducted consulting assignments in all aspects of software testing and quality assurance, specialising in test assurance. He has presented keynote talks and tutorials at testing conferences across Europe, the USA, Australia, South Africa and occasionally won awards for them. He has written books on testing, assurance and programming and was awarded the Eurostar European Testing excellence Award in 2010 and The European Software Testing Awards (TESTA) Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
