Refactoring Java-Code - The complete Thought process
A Friend of mine posted some Java-Code on twitter, rambling how unreadable Java-Code often is. As a professional Java developer I felt like he was doing the Language wrong and sure enough, after looking at the Code he posted I saw some clear options for cleanup and refactoring.
In this Video I take his Real-World Code and try to make it as clean and readable as I can, following the guidelines and best practices I learned at my company. I go through all my thoughts (which is why this video is nearly an hour long) and explore how the code can be broken into smaller, readable units.
