Java Swing Application + Hibernate + MySQL
Wanted to take a challenge by improving one of the previous University project, which is a desktop Swing Java application that stores data in a text file. The Swing Application was built for a hotel booking system which owners can book tenants, allocated to a room and take payments. However, this would not be ready for the real world because it affects data integrity and the data is not remotely available.
Hence, I wanted to take this opportunity to learn Java HIbernate and store the data in a relational database instead of text files.
Tools
* Using Hibernate Framework to map POJOs ( plain old java objects) to the relevant tables from RDBS
* MySQL Server - stores data remotely
