Creating a Characters Remaining Counter (for Text Areas) - JavaScript Tutorial
On many social media websites or blogs you'll find that their post or comment forms inform the user of how many characters they can still insert - a feature like this is easy to develop and only takes a tiny amount of good old fashioned JavaScript code.
In this video I'll take you through the HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create this feature - we even add a bonus color change to "red" when the user has less than 10% of characters remaining!
