💼 Maintain Account Function in SQL | Create Account Codes 💻 | SQL Software Series Ep.1
🎉 Welcome to our brand new series — SQL Accounting Software Functions!
In this first episode, we’ll guide you through the Maintain Account function.
Maintain Account function:
This is where you create your company’s account codes.
When you open Maintain Account, you'll see a list of default account codes created by the system. But it is optional to delete the code if it is useless to your business.
Now go to creating new account code, Lets say you want to add a fixed asset account — just click the account category, press New, and a tab will appear.
✅ Enter the account code, fill in the description, and you’ve created a new account!
✅ For fixed assets, the system will even prompt up to ask whether you want to create an Accumulated Depreciation Account?
If you click Yes, SQL will auto-create the depreciation code and label it correctly.
A special symbol appears to show it's a depreciation account.
🧩 And if you’re building account structures — like parent & child accounts — just drag the new code under the parent account to link them.
