Error: Android resource linking failed 1 min 25 sec 41 ms com.mbtechs.technpro.app-mergeDebugResources-46:/layout/activity_login.xml:25: error: resource
string/prompt email (aka com.mbtechs.technpro:string/prompt_email) not found.
com.mbtechs.technpro.app-mergeDebugResources-45:/layout/activity_login.xml:39: error: resource string/prompt_password (aka com.mbtechs.technpro:string/prompt_password) not found.

Cause: This error is thrown when you deleted the resources like image, string etc, but still referenced somewhere in your code or is cached.

Solution: Make sure you remove the part of code that require the deleted resource, if it is cached you have to clear the build cache and rebuild your application. Click on the build option in the android studio IDE and follows the procedures.
