For researchers in SDN, it is very important to study the controllers and their performance. You can refer to the paper "QoS improvement with an optimum controller selection for software-defined networks" for a more detailed study about the SDN controllers and you can improve it to write your own research paper and research thesis based on it. https://journals.plos.org/plosone/art...

For research in link failure recovery in SDN, please find the survey paper for latest issues and challenges in "Software-Defined Networking for link failure recovery: A survey" on the link https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/12/10/...

SDN is really easy for your thesis and research. Enjoy the study and the video and if you need any help in SDN controllers study these papers and other related papers. My email address is ENGRJEHADALI2011@GMAIL.COM
