If you're looking to push your code to GitHub using Visual Studio Code, this video provides a complete walkthrough from project setup to final commit. Whether you're working on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or any other files, VS Code’s integrated Git support makes it easy to sync your local project with a GitHub repository in just a few steps.

Start by opening your project folder in VS Code. Make sure your folder contains the files you want to push—this can include code files, a README, or configuration files. Next, go to the Source Control panel by clicking the Git icon on the left sidebar or pressing `Ctrl + Shift + G`.

If Git is not yet initialized for the project, you'll see an option to "Initialize Repository." Click that to set up Git tracking in your current folder. This will create a `.git` directory and enable Git commands within VS Code.

Now stage the files you want to commit by clicking the "+" icons next to them or selecting all. Enter a commit message in the text box above and click the checkmark icon to commit your changes locally.

Once your project is committed, it’s time to push it to GitHub. Head over to [https://github.com](https://github.com) and create a new repository. Give it a name, make it public or private, and leave "Initialize this repository with a README" unchecked if your local project already has one. Once the repo is created, copy the remote URL provided by GitHub (either HTTPS or SSH).

Back in VS Code, click on the ellipsis (three-dot menu) in the Source Control panel and choose "Remote" "Add Remote." Paste your GitHub repository URL when prompted. Then select "Push" from the same menu to send your code to GitHub.

VS Code will now upload your local commit to the specified GitHub repository. You can confirm this by refreshing your GitHub repo page—you should see your files and commit message reflected there.
