This video is not a hoax! You can do these glitches (and much more) on your own. There are different ways to break the game:

1. Cycle Trick
Use debug mode to go right until the character appears at the left side of the map. After that If you go up or down the game will produce glitches at certain coordinates. If you go left this state will reset.

2. Death Trick
Use debug mode after killing the character. Go around the whole map in death state. Stop at specific place and quit death state. After that If you go up or down the game will produce glitches at certain coordinates. If you go left this state will reset.

3. Combine Cycle Trick and Death Trick
