Hey :D

So this tutorial was requested! Hopefully what i've done makes sense, i'm not that great at explaining things so if you have any questions or need me to explain it all again just let me know! :D The random black box is just so that the text is easier to read haha

But basically this is what you can as tips:

Mark out the beats before adding the clips using markers in Sony Vegas. You can do this by either right clicking, and going to markers and regions, then markers. Or by just pressing M on your keyboard at the appropriate point you want to place the marker :)

To spot the beats look for the larger peaks in the audio track. Also just listen to the passage over and over to hear the specific beat you're looking for. I'd suggest using headphones!

Then begin dragging your clips to the appropriate places. The markers indicate the beats so when transitioning between two clips make sure the fade over these markers so that the middle of the cross is on the marker (as shown in the video).

Keep in mind that once you add the clips your beat markers might have been wrong as it's easier to hear the beast once you can see them visually, so just adjust it accordingly.

Finally, for extra effects on the stronger beats you could add Dissolve: Fade through black. For the fast sections I often do it every other clip :)
