Fix EndNote Not Responding in Word (Quick Tutorial)
Is Microsoft Word or EndNote freezing and stopping responding (crashing)? In this short tutorial, I show how to fix EndNote and/or Word not responding when the two software products are used together.

Here are the steps:
In Windows:
1. Close EndNote
2. Make a backup of your Word document.
3. In Word, in the EndNote ribbon, click on 'Convert Citations and Bibliography' then click 'Convert to Unformatted Citations'.
4. Press [Ctrl]+A on the keyboard to highlight everything.
5. Press [Ctrl]+6 (above the 'T' and 'Y' keys) to remove any additional hidden field codes.
6. Press [Ctrl]+C to copy the highlighted text.
7. Open a new document and press [Ctrl]+V to paste.
8. In the new Word document, in the EndNote ribbon, click on 'Update Citations and Bibliography'.
In macOS:
1. Close EndNote

4. Press [Apple]+A or [Command]+A on the keyboard to highlight everything.
