Functional Programming in Python | Lambda Functions | Higher Order Functions | Learn Python
In this video, I explain about lambda functions and higher order functions in Python. This video starts by introducing the concept of functional programming.
Then we explore the syntax of lambda expressions and how we can write an equivalent lambda function to a simple function. Further we make use of these lambda functions in higher order functions like map, filter and reduce.
Map function can be used to map a sequence from one type to another. Filter function on the other hand, can be used to filter out elements based on some condition. Finally, reduce function can be used to aggregate data from a sequence.
