Senior Java Developer
Immediate opening for a Senior Java developer to support one of ITS' strategic business initiatives. Qualifications: • Java/Java EE (7 and above), Java Web Services • Hands-on development experience using: Spring technologies, SQL Server, Hibernate, Web frameworks, and JavaScript • Hands on development troubleshooting JavaScript issues • Experience in multi-threaded and core Java programming, use of Java EE patterns and frameworks • Experience with AIX/Linux OS Processes – Process Modeling, Monitoring, states, batch processing, priorities – shell scripting and command entry, process control, customizing user environments • Ability to write and run automated unit, integration and functional tests • Experience using XML • Experience using TFS source control • Experience with WebSphere application server integrated within Eclipse IDE • Experience with Maven for project dependency management • Practical experience with a Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool (e.g., GIT, Subversion) • Self-motivated to understand existing code base and work with minimal supervision • Experience with different development methodologies, preferably Agile and Kanban. • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 5-9+ years of relevant work experience
