Linux Kernel Internals
A Linux device driver is a program that allows the operating system to communicate with a device. The driver acts as an interface between the device and the operating system, translating commands from the operating system into a language the device can understand.
In Linux, device drivers are typically written in C and are integrated into the kernel as kernel modules. These modules can be loaded and unloaded dynamically, allowing for greater flexibility in managing system resources.
Developing a Linux device driver requires a good understanding of the Linux kernel and its programming interfaces. It also involves knowledge of the specific device being developed for, as well as the hardware and software architecture of the system. Proper device driver development is crucial for system stability and performance.
Introduction to Linux kernel programming and covers topics such as kernel synchronization, interrupt handling, and device drivers.
The Linux Foundation offers a variety of online courses, including ones focused on kernel development. These courses cover topics such as kernel debugging, system calls, and kernel modules.
In this course , we teach you regarding the Linux Kernel Internals. To have sufficient understanding of Linux Operating System or any other Operating System, for that matter, and what makes them functional at the very core, we need to thoroughly understand its kernel.
2.5 months to complete
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
Good C knowledge, and basic hands on Linux.
kernel Internals
We teach you all the fundamental requirements necessary to understand and start developing for the Linux kernel. Attendees will go deep into the internals of the Linux operating system and begin to develop kernel modules for the latest popular distributions. From kernel module implementation to memory and process management, including I/O, debugging, file systems, and kernel security mechanisms, this course is all-encompassing.
Basic & Advance Linux Kernel concepts
Once we get finished with all the basic concepts that are required then you will be taught everything starting from kernel module implementation to memory and process management, including I/O, debugging, file systems, patching and kernel security mechanisms, this course is all-encompassing.
