Valve Source Code 2013 Tutorial (Episode 32): Adding an Animated Background Menu
Hello everyone and welcome to a new (probably short) series of videos I do involving the source code from Valve for Half-Life 2, and some guides on how to do stuff with this code. In this episode, I demonstrate how you can add an animated background menu like what is seen in Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2. I also outline some improvements to this feature that would allow for background music and for different background videos to play dependent on the value of the sv_unlockedchapters ConVar. I have to give a massive thank you to @WadDeIz_Real for the providing the code that improves this feature!
