Operator Overloading in OOP | Python Object Oriented Programming
In this video we will discuss operator overloading in python object oriented programming.
Operator overloading is one way to implement polymorphism alongside duck typing which we discussed in the previous video, and Method overloading and method overriding which we will talk about in the next video.
Operator Overloading means to change how the operators, like the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division works. Of Course we also have comparison operators like Greater Than and less than and so on.
To be able to compare an object of type x with another object of type y, you need to change how the operator works, to do that, you need overload it.
just like how you compare 2 integers using the equality operator, and this equality operator only accepts comparing two integers together, to change the operator's functionality, and make it compare two objects you created, you need to overload its corresponding special method.
