You should know the following basic Linux commands to get started with the Linux terminal.
1. cd: Used to navigate through directories.
2. ls: Used to list items in a particular directory.
3. man, help: Used to check information about a command.
4. pwd: prints the name of the current working directory.
5. cp, mv: cp means copy while mv means move. Used to copy and move files or folders respectively.
6. cat, less: Use to show the content the content of a file.
7. echo: to print commands.
8. mkdir: Used to create directories. (Make directories.)
9. chmod: Used to change file permission or privileges.
10. rm: Used to remove files and folders.
