Welcome to a brand new series: Uncomfy JavaScript! In this video, we dive deep into the rarely touched, foundational concepts of JavaScript that are often used in building libraries, frameworks, and maintaining legacy codebases. If you've mastered JS basics and built some projects, this is your next step.
We'll explore the classic Module Pattern using IIFEs (Immediately Invoked Function Expressions) to create private variables and public APIs—a crucial skill for any senior JS developer. To make things easy, we use a highly relatable 'Kirana Store' analogy to understand how a store's public front differs from its private godown.
Later in the video, we take it a step further and simulate ES6 modules and basic Dependency Injection entirely from scratch in Vanilla JavaScript. We build a 'SharmaMart' consisting of an Inventory module and a BillingCalculator that depends on it. This will give you a solid grasp of how modern JS frameworks manage dependencies under the hood.
