In this video by Programming for Beginners we will learn Java catch Multiple Exceptions (Examples), using Java Tutorial videos.
Before Java 7, we had to write multiple exception handling codes for different types of exceptions even if there was code redundancy.
Example:
class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
int array[] = new int[10];
array[10] = 30 / 0;
} catch (ArithmeticException e) {
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
} catch (ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException e) {
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
}
}
}
In Java SE 7 and later, we can now catch more than one type of exception in a single catch block.
Example:

public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
int array[] = new int[10];
array[10] = 30 / 0;
} catch (ArithmeticException | ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException e) {
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
}
}
