This is a non object-oriented approach that is useful to know and use to (a) implement
non-standard functionality not found in commonly available linked list objects, or to (b) implement simple linked list functionality without the overhead of a linked list object. Explains some of the more nuanced issues in parameter passing and memory addressing.
