The only one difference here is that if the bean implements the application context Aware interface, the setApplicationContext() method is called. Now you know to create and load a spring container. However an empty container isn't much good by itself it doesn't really contain any thing unless you put something in it. To achieve the benefits of spring DI we must wire our application objects into the spring container.
